are moors only up north... can there be moors in lincolnshire? I'm not sure but for now the title stands... It is a bit chilly in my room up top here... which means it is absolutly freezing in the rest of the manor since people keep leaving windows open and the oportunistic wind comes howling through.
This is the side of the house where I live (left)... more specifically behind the pillar in pic below is where my window is.. you can see it open in the picture... rather high up with a
good view if you look along either side of the pillar... really the pillar is a good thing as i'm sure it keep some of the wind out... but it also makes the wind more creative when it does choose to blow through. These old houses have tons of fireplaces.. including a borded up one in my room but we don't use them :( something about fire safety and burning like a matchbox...... Gosh nothing important of course :) Some of the state rooms have fire places bigger then me which is rather intimidating.
The top picture is the lovely view from my window on the misty evening last night. Time to break out the long sleeves... for now at least.

Why will I not be surprised if you come back with Harris Tweed and a nice Burberry coat? [Try Harrods for the latter.] I'll have an extra slice of watermelon this labor [or would you prefer I spelt it "labour?"] day in your honor.
