Jane Austen HELP ME!!!!

Writers block i fear not here of course but in other writings.  I watched Becoming Jane last night hoping for inspiration and alas none yet.  I will say it is a bit odd to watch a movie that is so set in houses like the one you are living in.  As they walk from room to room I really think I could go downstairs and catch up with them.  I love Jane Austen novels,  which is ironic because I also like things like 1984 and other much deeper significant works.  But I think we all need fun and seriousness, Jane Austen is my fun, 1984 is my serious.  Gosh maybe I am having writers block here too if I am babbling about Jane Austen.
Anyways it is beautiful here, as you all have said, and it totally takes me back to the Jane Austen time period.  Maybe I will be inspired soon.. I certainly hope so, and I'm sure he does to.

PS I re-did the format with a Pride and Prejudice quote, do you get it?... young woman of inferior birth? :) American living in a manor house?

:-D The English marvel at the stuff we have that they don't and we marvel at them for the things they have that we don't.

They hate damp cold houses and dreary rain all the time. We say "we don't have anything like this [and if you're from SD as we are rain is a "novelty."]

Whereas they come here and marvel at the sizes and distance and instant everything.

No wonder it can be a mutual admiration society. [I think it's safe to say you meet more Anglophiles in the US than Francophiles.]

When you get back sometime remind me to tell you about the Jane Eyre production at the La Jolla playhouse. I wanted to stand and scream at that woman "get out NOW, while you have your sanity!!!!"

[And James Barbour was sooo sleezy in that!]

As long as you're over there, try channeling Will.
