"Silence is the perfectest herald of joy, I were but little happy if I could say how much"

My directing debut, Shakespeare Much Ado About Nothing Act 2 Scene 1.  My inspiration came from the room we preformed in, the great hall of an old English manor house.  I imagined the scene taking place there, circa 1940s, as soldiers returned from the war.  And I really wanted to include the audience within the scene.  That's why I tried to use as much of the space as possible and not just the stage.  Also I wanted all the lights, chandeliers and lamps, as if a party was going on.  I'm really happy with how it came out.  Sure there is more that could have been done but the performers really did a fabulous job.  Not all of them are actors but I really felt they all embraced their roles.  All of them had "moments" of pure acting during the performance which was really exciting for me as the director.  So enjoy!  and if you work for the Royal Shakespeare Company... the answer is YES!!! whatever the question the answer is YES.. hahaha

BTW, if the Royal Shakespeare Company is hiring (you did vet those people and swept their sidewalks didn't you?)

If someone from the RSC is reading this: I know someone who'll work for you in exchange for a few pounds a week to keep body and soul together and a warm place to sleep....
