Merci a nortre famille francaise! Zoey et moi avons eu un merveilleux week-end. Merci de nous laisser rester avec vous et d'ecouter mon Francais horrible!
To start with, we took a train from Grantham to London, then we had to take the undergound to Tottenham Hale Station, which is in no way the same as Tottenham Court Road Station which i may or may not have led us to instead. Once we had back tracked through the London Underground we arrived at Tottenham Hale and got the train to London Stansted Airport. One quick flight across the Channel and we arrived in Bretagne at Nates Atlantique Aeroport! Then our lovely hosts Jean Gilles et Patricia Moisan met us there and took us to their house in the center of Brittany. There we met the horses, dogs, cats, and other animals which was quite exciting. The next day Gilles and Patricia took us around Brittany. We went to a traditional villiage of Bretagne, and saw a man working at a glassblowing shop. Then we went to Pont-Avon which is possibly the most beautiful place in the world with lots of little galleries and art. Also the whole town winds around a river and there are lots of bridges and flowers. Also did I mention the food in France, aaaahhh the food. I think my stomach may still be angry at me for coming back to england. The next day we visited two chapels in La Faouet, the chapel of St. Barbara and St. Fiacre. St. Barbara is the patron saint of firefighters and protects people against lightning. If you ring the bell at the chapel of St. Barbara you are supposed to be protected from storms. Zoey and I had to ring the bell together... parce que nous ne sommes pas forts.... and even ringing it together it still took us three tries. We are weak and the bell is large, so I am not sure if it counts and we are protected from storms, or maybe we are only protected when we are together or maybe we are only half protected! Who know :) Then we went down a path to the fountain. Most chapels have fountains apparently, from natural springs that are supposed to cure one thing or another. Later we went to Pontivy which has a castle and also buildings from Napoleon's time when he set up courts and administration centers there. Then on the drive back to the airport we stopped at Le Bono. We saw a bridge constructed my Monsieur Eiffel... of tower fame... as well as places my mother may or may not have stayed.. we aren't quite sure but I'm sure the odds are with us that we saw at least one place she stayed.
All and all it was very beautiful and sunny for the first two days which was a nice change from rain. and did I mention the food!!!!! I feel like I might have been stopped at immigration in England for attempting to bring herbs and seasoning into the country!
Pictures are coming!
a bientot!

Pictures came out swell. They really gave you the grand tour!
When you spoke of going through customs I had visions of the I love Lucy episode where they try and smuggle a huge Italian salami back though NY customs.
